Sarah Palin is Funny, But Not as Funny as….

On a recent trip to the democratic state of Vermont, where irony runs as big as the Monster in Lake Champlain, I had yet another observation of liberal intolerance to Sarah Palin and glorious praise of Obama. Despite repeated news (week of Aug. 16) of yet another disastrous month for unemployment (500,000 new claims) no thanks to the Stimulus bill, the DJIA plummeting 3 points (down to 10,200), the proposal of another 26 Billion “Jobs” bill adding to the overall deficit (which creates another milestone to remember in the latest CBO’s dismal government spending/deficit analysis that speculates Govt. spending will be 70% of GDP by 2018), Obama flipflopping his stance on the Ground Zero Mosque, and the news that Obama will spend more time in Church rather than on the golf course to please the 1-in-10 democrats that think he’s Muslim, the ONLY thing“funny” in Politics is Sarah Palin.

Going against my usual tendencies, I decided to play safe and merely pointed out that Sarah doesn’t hold any political office and yet her favorability ratings are still better than Obama’s (who is curently sitting at about 45%, down from 66% way back in January).  Their reaction (and I’m paraphrasing here): Yes, but she’s still at the bottom of the list when it comes to perspective candidates. I’m pretty sure I mentioned that Sarah doesn’t posses or plan to run for any political office, but apparently, my liberal friends are still in 2008 campaign mode. So be it, I suppose.

Had I really wanted to go head to head, my natural wittiness may have reacted with a little something like “Yeah, but is Sarah funnier than… “

  1. Rod “I didn’t try to sell that seat” Blago
  2. Charlie “I didn’t misappropriate taxpayers money to fund my fat black ass” Rangle
  3. Nancy “We won’t know whats in it until we pass it” Pelosi
  4. Harry “there’s no illegal immigrants in Nevada” Reid
  5. Barney “Fannie and Freddie are safe from the Housing Market crash” Frank
  6. Chris “We won’t know if it works until it happens again” Dodd
  7. Timothy “I believe the issue was with the software” Geithner
  8. John “Is parking my boat here to avoid property taxes legal?” Kerry

Now that’s funny, no? And here’s the funniest part… these ass-clowns are actually running the country!! Perhaps if Tina Fey and SNL included a bit more liberal clown-acts in their satirical skits, their viewing numbers might actually be worth something again. Obviously, Fox News got the hint and now sit on the top of the rating 8 months in a row.  The only thing “funny” about Sarah Palin is her innate ability to irk the shit out of libs. Keep trying, Katie Couric…. maybe next time you’ll finally bring her down. But, I doubt it.

The Teleprompter Lied!!!

Is it me, or does President Obama suffer from “Foot-in-Mouth” syndrome quite regularly?  After 18 months in office, this president is starting to get comical. While some of his statements/directives are simply misjudgments, some of them are flat out lies.  I’ve devised a list of news-worthy misjudgments from the past that’s certainly worth a read (and a few chuckles).

  1. Beer Summit:  The first occasion whereby Mr. All-Knowing accused a white cop of “acting stupidly” despite acknowledging he didn’t know all the facts yet.  After the “facts” were revealed, Obama called together the cop and the victim (a drunk black professor who was breaking into his own house) to a beer summit in a effort to mend racial tension between the cop and the drunk.  The general public agrees, the professor was the one acting stupidly.
  2. Stimulus Bill:  To get congress members and the general public to buy into the Stimulus Bill, Obama said that without the bill, the unemployment rate would exceed 8%.  6 months after it was passed, the unemployment rate shot up to 10%.  Now, after 10+ months, the unemployment rate still sits at 9.5%.  Obama, however, convinced its saving the world now says without the bill, the unemployment rate “could have been” as high as 13%.  Way to pull a random number out of your ass!!!   The general public agrees, the Stimuls Bill didn’t and won’t help unemployment.
  3. The Deepwater Horizon:  Obama was quick blame BP executives for disregarding safety protocols which eventually led to the sinking of the massive oil rig. However, in an ironic twist, Obama’s administration actually gave that very same rig a “Safety Award” in 2009. The general public agrees, the administration is just as guilty as BP.

  4. Mandated Healthcare Tax:  InDecember of 2009, Obama denied any linking of the “healthcare penalty” to a tax on several morning shows. But in court, “the Obama administration and its allies now defend the requirement as an exercise of the government’s “power to lay and collect taxes.”” The general public agrees, any form of monetary collection by the government to pay for services offered by the government is a TAX!

  5. Arizona law SB1070:  Way back when Arizona adopted a new law to help mitigate illegal immigration, Obama claimed that such an act was misguided and would, without a doubt, lead to racial profiling. And because of this, his administration would “closely monitor the situation and examine the civil rights and other implications of this legislation.” However, once the case actually got to court, the defense was nothing about racial profiling…and all about federal jurisdiction. Turns out… the whole case of racial profiling didn’t have a leg to stand on, so they attacked the law based on something else.  The general public agrees.. if the feds actually did their job, then the state wouldn’t need to enact such a law.

  6. Extended Unemployment: Back in November of 2009, Obama made himself out to be some kind of hero when he stated: “it’s important to note that the bill I signed will not add to our deficit. It is fully paid for, and so it is fiscally responsible,” In July of 2010, however, his fiscal responsibilities have now taken a turn.  In a attempt to bash Republicans, he actually made himself sound just like the “same as usual politics:”  “So after years of championing policies that turned a record surplus into a massive deficit, including a tax cut for the wealthiest Americans, they’ve finally decided to make their stand on the backs of the unemployed,”  Eight months ago, paying for the benefits was the right thing to do, but now Obama sees no need to do so.  The General Public agrees…. its same-as-usual politics in DC.

  7. No New Taxes on the Middle Class: During the campaign (and still today), Obama is putting spin on his old rhetoric that no middle class families will see their taxes increase:  “If you make less than a quarter of a million dollars a year, you will not see a single dime of your taxes go up. If you make $200,000 a year or less, your taxes will go down.” Ah, those memories…. but when you have a President who has increased the defict more in 18 months than Bush did in 4 yerars, well you have to start to ask yourself…”Where’s that money going to come from to pay that down?”  You guessed it… TAXES; 26.7 Trillion to be exact.  The general public agree… spender-in-chief ain’t going to get away with this one.

To Be Cont….

How to Handle a Crisis? Go on Vacation!!

Unless you’ve been living in a whole for the past 40 days, you’re obviously aware of all the “issues” going on lately right? If not, here’s the scenarios? Well, there’s the AZ immigration reform bill that has the Dems panties all tied up. There’s the 40 day oil spill going on in the Gulf that team Obama has no clue how to handle. There’s the sinking of a S. Korean ship that may prompt another war between North and South Korea… and we don’t think hand shakes and kind words is going to resolve it. And lastly, there’s still a lingering war effort going on over in Afghanistan and Iraq that Team Obama seems to have forgotten about.

So if you were the worlds most “intellectual” President, what would you do given all these scenarios? I can tell you for sure, the last thing you would do is take a vacation.. right? But that’s exactly what Presbo plans to do! Is that not hard-core or what? This guy really is the shit… or at least a POS.

Here’s an interesting fact for all you Bush Haters:
During the first 36 days of Katrina, Bush made 7 visits to Gulf Coast. As of day 36 of the BP oil leak, Obama has made only 1 visit to disaster area. Flashback now to 2008, during the campaign when Obama said of Bush: This is “a President who only saw people from a window of an airplane instead of down here on the ground.” At least Bush made some sort of effort, no? I guess that’s that change you can believe in.

So about this vacation to Chicago…. on Memorial Day Weekend. Our dear, sympathetic, always apologizing, president slaps his own Country right in the face. How so? The man who just sent 70k troops to Afghanistan (yes, on his own watch) just flipped them all the bird from his plane to corruptville. Nice!

Speaking of Crisis in our own backyard. Did you see Obama is making each and every Senior at some Michigan high school to have their proper forms of ID just to shake his hand? Yeah… Birth Certificate included with that too. Too bad you don’t need to show proof of citizenship to become president… or even proof of citizenship to “stay” in this Country. And where’s all the liberal tards that need to be boycotting this school for making these children go through what could be defined as “racial profiling?”

Calm down, Libs. Your new monthly payment won’t arrive until 2014

It seems like “obama voters,” the ones that really don’t understand politics but just like the guy, need to be reminded that their “mandated” healthcare doesn’t arrive until 2014. So there’s nothing to really get all excited about yet….. Oh and that nothing in the bill actually reduces costs; just places some excess taxes on folks making over 200K to pay for whatever it will be come 2014….. Oh and that since the govt’s “exchange” option will be comparative both in offerings and price, the insurance companies can still increase premiums between now and then (since pre-existing conditions for children will go into effect within 6 months), thus raising the price for the mandated gov’t option by the time it arrives.  And best of all… if you don’t buy it, the IRS will find you!  So the good news is….Jessica the prostitute and Jerry the coke whore can now both get monthly checkups for aids and herpes. The bad news is…. the $50 she just made choking down Jerry’s manstick just got taken by the IRS for late “fees.”

Call me crazy.. but I believe a majority of young voters are celebrating the fact that Obama actually achieved something.  Surely they can’t be celebrating their new monthly payment to the IRS?  I mean, cmon folks… the exemptions will only be for individuals with financial hardship, religious objection, inmates, and American Indians.

The True Nature of Freedom

I was looking at Foxnews.com the other day and came across this column by Janine Turner who you may remember from the TV series Northern Exposure. This column struck a chord with me because it has been my contention that the mess we find ourselves in today has been because that the American people have become complacent and have became ignorant of the true nature of freedom. Many people have come to think of freedom as being free from responsibility. Since we live in such a prosperous nation, they have come to think of freedom as being able to do whatever they want because they think that it is Society’s responsibility to give them what they need.

Freedom, according to Merriam – Webster is:
The quality or state of being free: as a: the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action b: liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another.

I have issue with the “the absence of necessity” part as how can we have this? There are always things that are necessary in order to live. Air, food, shelter and so on. I guess in this respect, pure freedom is death. But as we are alive, let’s accept that we can have freedom and necessity.

To illustrate the meaning, let’s assume a man that is alone in a forest. There are no others around to dictate his actions. We will assume that this man is in the state of “natural freedom”. This man must now make decisions about what actions he must take. He may decide to gather food, to find shelter, or maybe to relocate. He is free to make the decision as he sees fit. If he decides that first he will gather food, he must, at least for the time, forego finding shelter. To gather food first maybe the best choice if there is not a pressing need for shelter, such as a storm. However, if there is an immediate need of shelter and he refuses to find it, he may be injured or even killed by the storm. Maybe there is not a storm and he finds his food. He has, in this case, upon finding food he has been rewarded for his decision. We can see that in “natural freedom,” the man must accept the rewards or ill effects of his decisions. Remember, there is no one else there to take away his rewards or save him from the possible ill effects of his decisions.

There cannot be freedom without responsibility. If you think that Society must save you from possible ill effects of your decisions, then Society also will be able to take away the rewards. Also if Society must take responsibility for your “well being”, then Society will have every right to make decisions for you. Freedom and responsibility CANNOT be separated.

So if we accept that freedom and responsibility cannot be separated, where does that leave us? The founders of our nation knew that if we are to prosper, then we would need to accept some limitations to our freedom to survive as a nation. They knew that if the federal government would have to have certain powers if it were to be able to provide the stability we would need to assure that our nation would survive. The powers that the federal government would have to be given should only be the powers needed to carry out the responsibilities given to it. Given too little power then the federal government would fail, given too much power then the federal government would become tyrannical.

The nature of the powers and the amount of that power that should be given to the federal government should be dictated by the responsibilities given to the federal government. So what are these responsibilities? The responsibilities are the protection of the nation from foreign influence and the internal stabilities between the states. The “general welfare” that the Constitution states, the phrase that many liberals use to justify their ambitions, does not extend to the individual, but rather only to the realm of the nation as a whole. The phase after all is the “general” welfare, not the “specific” welfare of the individual. Any one that honestly contemplates this would have to conclude that if the federal government would have the responsibility to guarantee the specific welfare of each individual, even if this were possible, it would have to have enormous power. Such a concentration of power in the hands of such a small group, the federal government, would lead to a tyrannical government and the loss of any individual freedom.

So back to Janine’s column, I agree with her that what is called for now is a revolution. A revolution in the concepts that we teach to our children and the ideals we hold as a society. The concept of that freedom and responsibility cannot be separated. That if we are to have individual freedom that we have to have individual responsibility.

November gives us an opportunity to declare to those who would govern us that the true power of our country is the individuals that make up this country. The federal government should restrict itself to only the responsibilities that were given to it by the Constitution. For now, we start teaching personal responsibility.
